Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty-five thousand moments so dear
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets
In midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, a year in the life?
How about love?
How about love?
How about love?
Measure in love
Seasons of love
Seasons of love
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty-five thousand journeys to plan
Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure the life of a woman or a man?
In truths that she learned
In bridges he burned
Or the way that she died
It's time now, to sing out
Though the story never ends
Let's celebrate
Remember a year in the life of friends
Remember the love
(Oh, you got to, you got to remember the love)
Remember the love
(You know that life is a gift from up above)
Remember the love
(Share love, give love, spread love)
Measure in love
(Measure, measure your life in love)
Seasons of love
Seasons of love
Measure your life in love.

This song has become a mantra that I hear over and over in my head. At home, at work, at play, and at rest. It makes me ask myself that simple question:
How about love?
Then I smile because that's what it's all about, man. Measuring your life in love.

ReplyDeleteI love the message. I continue to work on the comment issue (smile) this maybe be a repeat. My comments are short because I think they will go off into never never land.
This is the song that the high school choir sang at Nadia's graduation. It was THE most awful renditions of any song I've ever heard. But the memory of all of us sitting there trying not to pass out laughing is one of the best ever. Glad you have some good memories to go with it, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to be a part of this post. I really am. Miss you so.
ReplyDeleteI love this song, it's one of my daughter and my favorite songs and musicals. Naturally I sang the words to your pictures in my head, it made them so much more lovely. There is a lot of love on these pages, it shines right through.
ReplyDeleteI can go for days with this song stuck in my head, and I don't mind at all. xo
This warmed my heart and brought a smile to my face today, thanks Kim!
