Found.

Mom and Frannie looked all over for that pin and couldn't find it. I walked into Mom's house today and found this box sitting with several other items she'd brought home from Deanna's house. Inside of the box was a silver elephant necklace that nearly filled the entire box. For whatever reason, I pulled out the necklace to look at it and what did I see pressed up against the side of that box?

Gasp.

My sister's sorority pin! It was there! Right there!

I had tried my hardest to convince myself that she'd lost it. But my sister wasn't that type of Delta. Nope, not her.

Mission accomplished. Without even being on a mission.

Yay.

Happy Saturday. And shout out to Miss Chevious who assured me that I'd find it soon.

  2. So glad you found it. I gave Deanna a necklace that looks similar to that one for working on the Sisterhood Advance committee with me this year. It is probbly not that one, but looks similar. I am sooo glad you found the pin. I know it was puzzling you. The other day when you talked about she didn't leave you a map, it made me think about writing all that stuff down too. My chapter, who my family would need to contact, where i keep my pin. my rituals, my treasured Delta STUFF. Currently, I have things EVERYWHERE, I can't find it half the time when I need it. I am going to fix that. I have given orders to friends/sorors but they would be Searching, searching, searching to find it...

Thank you for being an inspiration to all of US..

    1. Bet it was the same necklace. Because she had both of those things in a special place and I am convinced that she knew exactly where both were. I knew she hadn't lost it. And if that is the necklace, what a place of honor for it!

      Delta love right back atcha.

I am a firm believer that things like that are a "hello" from the other side.

    1. Jill! Do you know? I hadn't thought of it that way. But you're right--I'm so glad that I was the one who found it. It made my whole family so happy. And I love knowing that it made others happy, too.

  5. I told you that you'd find it! St. Anthony always answers my prayers. I'm sure Deanna helped with my prayer, too.
