Grady Verbatim: What have you done for me lately?

This weekend on rounds at Grady:

"You haven't done NOTHIN' for me! NOTHIN'! I mean I know you SAVED MY LIFE and all THAT but OTHERWISE? You haven't done NOTHIN' for me!"

Ummm, okay.

  1. Yeah, well love doesn't work on a rewards system. Love doesn't elevate itself, it is not proud. It does not seek attention. It is hard to come by. It does not judge, but seeks honest relationships. It stays with us when we are at our weakest, most vulnerable points. It always hopes and prays for our good. It is sad when we sin, but hopes and prays for our redemption. It withstands all obstacles. Our love does not fail, but hopeful wishes and our good intentioned greetings will fail. We only see this randomly now, but we will see the full measure of it when we reach home. My version of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Just so you know, I love you.
